WFencing's Coaching Colloquium & Fencing Camp is back for Summer 2026!
Looking for a high‑performance training experience built on collaboration and idea exchange from multiple coaches? This intensive 3-day camp blends focuses on coach and athlete weapon‑specific development.
Coaches work together sharing ideas, lessons and promoting advancement in all levels of competitive fencing: group lessons, 1:1 lessons, program direction, culture and change management. Athletes work with multiple coaches with shared values, meeting new athletes, challenging new ideas in a competitive camp arena and preparing for competing at the Regional or National levels. Hosted by Forge Fencing in Durham, NC.
What's Included?

Concentrated weapon‑specific training in saber (Monday - Wednesday Aug 10-12th) or foil and epee (Thursday - Saturday, Aug 13 -15th) for both fencers and coaches.

Coach collaboration and training led by a Coach Educator in each weapon.

Daily 9:00am–4:00pm ET training blocks

Lunch provided each day for athletes and coaches.

Supplemental programming for athletes includes video review, tactical strategy sessions, and performance development.

Supplemental programming for coaches starting one week before the camp in an online meeting was designed to meet the development coach needs as well as the needs of the athlete participants.

Who Should Attend?
This is designed for competitive athletes and coaches who meet the following requirements:

Must be competing or building fencers at Y12 level or higher

Athletes should hold regional or national points.

Coaches must be Safesport cleared and open to sharing, leading and collaborating.
Location:
Forge Regional Training Facility in Durham, North Carolina. Includes 16 full-size electric strips, shower and private changing rooms. Walking distance to hotels, train stations, and AirBnBs. RDU airport is within 20 minutes of the club.
Bonus Options:

Wednesday night cook out with all campers and coaches. Location TBD.

USFCA testing on Sunday is optional and requires an extra paid fee.

If a coach brings athletes they can participate for free. Coaches must email Coach Jen Oldham, Colloquium Coordinator, jen@forgefencing.com. Otherwise coaches can register as athletes and participate as both athlete and coach, if desired.
