As shared at the recent Annual Meeting of WFencing, we are pleased to announce the conclusion of the Board of Directors Election. This year saw a competitive field of six candidates vying for four available positions. We extend our congratulations to Heather Shankwiler, Rich Weiss, and Adeline Chung-Feder, who have all been re-elected to the Board.

Runoff Election for Final Board Position

In a unique twist, the election resulted in a tie for the last board position. Both Irem Uklu and Liz Mayerick received identical vote counts and percentages, necessitating a runoff election in accordance with WFencing's policy. This additional election will determine who fills the final seat on the Board.

Important Dates for the Runoff Election

We encourage all eligible members to participate in this process. Below are the key dates for the upcoming runoff election:

• Voting Opens: Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 12:00 AM EST

• Voting Closes: Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:45 PM EST

• Candidate Notifications: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
